We love photographing proposals. Getting to witness such an exciting and happy moment in someone else's life brings back all of the feelings that Kurt and I had when we were in their shoes. Kurt relates to all of the nervousness that you experience having that ring in your pocket leading up to that moment. To me it brings back the shock, happiness and tears that I experienced on the other side, but to both of us it reminds us of how important that moment was and how it brought us to where we are today. We love being able to capture this moment for other couples to look back on for the rest of their lives.
We have had so many folks ask about how we go about capturing proposals. Capturing a real life proposal is different than most other sessions we offer, we almost never meet the couple ahead of time (because that would of course give the secret away) this gives us such a unique opportunity to tell a very real, uninteruped love story of two people that at that moment are complete stangers to us.
Matt and Emily's proposal was so beautiful. These two headed up from South Carolina to spend the weekend at Old Edwards Inn in Highlands and just before dinner Matt led Emily to to see Sunset at a vista above Highlands, where he proposed. These two are so sweet, we wish them a lifetime of happiness together. Congratulation Matt and Emily.
