We first met John and Kathleen in the great Rocky Mountains of Colorado during their engagement shoot at Red Rocks Park. As we travel back to Colorado one a year, their engagement session timed out perfect during our ski vacation. Its funny how small this world is and the connections that bring us all together.
John and Kathleen came to the lush woods of North Carolina from Colorado for their mountainside wedding at the High Hampton Inn. Their lite-hearted nature was the perfect fit for this remote retreat with friends and family to embrace the union of these two like-minded souls. And that's why we live where we do and they selected Highlands as their place to join their lives together with marriage.
As clouds build pre-wedding, the bridal party assembled and then came the rain. In almost all cases in North Carolina, if you don't like the weather wait five minutes. As was true with this occasion and the rain postponement was a delightful relief from the summer heat and set forth a refreshing ceremony on the lawn in front of the grandiose Rock Mountain as the backdrop to the wedding. As day then turned into night, the mountains bellowed with joy from their reception and the amazing twelve piece band, Envision, that got everyone moving late into the night for the couple's club cart departure into the night.
Congratulations John and Kathleen!
