On the blog, we have recently been using fewer words and letting the photos and video speak for themselves, but we feel that Lauren and Zac's beautiful wedding day needs a bit of a backstory.
Lauren and Zac's wedding took place on September 27th, 2024. The day after Hurricane Helene devastated Western NC. In the film below, when Lauren says, " Everything that could have gone wrong went wrong,"......she really means it. The list of things that didn't go as planned could go on for days, including weathering a horrific storm, losing power, internet, and cell service (so no communication with their guests or vendors), almost not getting their marriage license, having to change their Rehearsal Dinner location moments before it started, several vendors not making it because they were trapped by trees and flood water......but you know what? It turned out to be an absolutely beautiful day.
Thanks to Lauren and Zac, their amazing family and friends, and hardworking vendors, all the obstacles we had to overcome were overshadowed by the light and laughter we shared on their wedding day.
The moral of the story is that you can't change the weather, but with a good attitude and a great Wedding Planner (who just so happens to also be a local Fire Chief), your wedding day can still be a day that everyone looks back on with a full heart for years to come.
